TOP TEN QUESTORS

The V-NetPosted on November 30, 2008 @ 10:26AM One thing I discovered while I was sick, was many of the wonders of the Vyber-Net. I had to use the work station in my room, instead of my wristponder though, because of the problems that were going on. The Vyber-Net is the modern equivalent of the pre-quakes Internet. More information that anyone could experience in their life, but available to anyone. A few of the things I discovered on the V-Net were: News Sites: There were daily updates for any topic you could imagine, along with your International political news, you get sports news, local news, and more. I check the Joint Common Market daily now, just to see if there are anything is happening back home. For the most part it looks pretty quiet. Which is a relief, considering what has been happening in the rest of the world. Besides the more serious news you can get anything you want, be it developments in science, hobbies, or splicer pet shows! Entertainment: You can play games on the V-Net, watch old shows that survived the Great Quakes, or even watch holographs of people doing stupid things they or their friends have uploaded. Utterly pointless, but it is amazing how much time you lose watching them. I do my best to limit my time on this. Academia: I was happy to find that there are databases of academic journals. Some of these were on the internet prior to the great quakes in the form of text files. It also looks like institutions such as the Archaic Library are attempting to upload their physical records, like old books and maps. Blogs: Possibly my most guilty pleasure on the V-Net. Anyone can put stuff on the internet. Many do. There are blogs about people, about their experiences, travels, pets, you name it. I’m quite interested in reading about people’s experiences with pre-quakes lands and archaeological, and I wasted a lot of hours on that. Of course, the stupid blogs are hard to look away from too, and more than a few times did I find myself reading what some girl from Sangelino thought about the celebrities in her area. You can waste a lot of time on the V-Net if you are not careful, and lack willpower. |
“Pratering” for change:THE SONG: Total World Peace by 2012 – say it, think it, feel it, believe it every day at 12PM PST and it will be. Set the time on your appointments and when your alert goes off, say it, think it, feel it, know it will be. 30 second to save the world. Do it! “Pratering – a single, focused thought supported by love, organized on a mass level, to occur at a specific time with the intention to create a shift in consciousness and manifest a result into reality. We are the heroes we have been waiting for. The Quest begins now.”
